Day 2/100 – Goals

Happy Tuesday. This is Day 2 of 100 Days of Writing.

As I type this I am experiencing bobblehead syndrome.

Well, G, what’s bobblehead syndrome? It is a term that I use to refer to the moment when you are a bit tired, sitting still and your head does that bobblehead movement as you doze off, then it snaps back all of a sudden and you smile with the “What just happened?” face. Yep, that just happened. It can be cousin to the -itis or coma that you experience after eating wholesome food and things get warm and fuzzy, and you are waking up 1 hour later. You can see the similarity in the cases. Yep, they are definitely in the same family line.

However, as I defeat bobblehead syndrome a minute at a time, my day 2 post surfaced. It is important to me not to forget to apply action toward my goal.  Anyway, let me get to today’s message that I wish to share.

If you don’t know by now, I’m very goal oriented and always striving to flip my life into a state of wealth and one that impacts others in positive ways. To do so, it is a constant investment of gathering knowledge in order to apply it.

Part of my knowledge gathering comes from podcasts. And today, I tapped into a podcast that I had never heard before until today. This podcast really got my wheels turning, my ink pen rolling, my strategy planning upgraded, and inspired me to become more clear on a goal, many goals actually.

What’s the name of the podcast? I’m not telling you. Kidding, it’s called Sisternomics. Don’t roll your eyes with disinterest. The podcast is truly insightful if you speak the language of changing your life for the better.

The name of the first episode that you can listen to here is “What Is The Million Dollar Equation?” That title alone piqued my attention. The guest on this episode is Richelle Shaw. She shared gems on how she produced a 7 figure business, lost it with the tragedy of 9-11, built another business, met a huge loss again, and rebuilt another 7 figure business. Hmm, so what does that tell you? It can be done even if you met failure. “Always believe there is something greater.”

If you’ve been having a hard time trying to figure out what you are doing wrong, gaining clarity, or feeling defeated, this is the podcast episode to listen to.

This episode has me reaching for a goal of growing a 7 figure business in 18 to 24 months. Tight goal? Yep, I know. It is also possible, as many have proven it over and over again. There’s no reason why I can’t do it. As expressed in the episode, many people fail due to a lack of strategy. You can have drive but no strategy. Strategy is what will help you rise to where you aim.

I’m not going to divulge all of the goodies because you should grab a notebook and press play on the episode. It might even inspire you to live off 75% of your income, invest 15%, and tithe with the remaining 10%. No pressure but the goal is shifting your thinking, releasing certain behaviors/habits, and being strategic and clear on the goal that you are aiming for. The episode is a delight.

My goal when I indulge in anything is to seek to learn something.

It’s only Day 2 and I’m pumped.

If you missed Day 1, you can check it out here.

Thanks for coming by.
