Prayer and Community

This is one of those times when I just need to write.

As I attended Bible Study, the focus was on prayer in James 5: 13-18. The portion that really resonated with me pertained to being weary and calling on the elders to pray for you. It is in community that you draw on their strength, faith, and love, as you may be too tired to even push for yourself sometimes. Weary  for me is being tired of having to continue to face trial after trial without a season of overflow, restoration, or the ability to relax and refresh. It can feel like your hope is depleting and your prayers are hitting a barrier that block them from reaching God.

And sometimes other people just don’t understand how weary you are.

I extend a request to the community.

If you are a prayer warrior, I seek your prayers in the areas of provision, of guidance, of continued strength, and of overflow. I desire to be blessed in order to be a blessing. I desire to be blessed in order to stop surviving day to day, but instead to actually thrive.  I pray that the season that I am in passes suddenly and the experience allows me to speak to that place in the lives of others with the glory going to God.

Thanks in advance for your prayers.
