now that is perfect! I am reading a book called “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe”, and your point “how to figure out what I want” seems to be the issue of “Aristotle” the young teen. The search for identity. Also, I will check out that song Sober. Thanks 🙂
I haven’t read the Divine Comedy but it is on my list to read. “I hope you find what you are looking for” Now that generated a smile…illuminating a dark forest.
I like this one much better:
Proverbs 9:10 NIV
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
The reason: We never really know ourselves. I think we tend to live in sections….. AND we are situational beings. I may say or think that I am one way but when the appropriate OR inappropriate situation arises, I may become someone totally different (someone that I don’t even recognize). Let me know what you think about that.
Great breakdown. Let’s combine. Know thyself as a work always in progress. Have fear and wisdom in your beliefs, and seek knowledge and understanding daily in order to illuminate your path while you occupy the physical body. The pursuit of self while navigating this life is spiritual, and enlightening…while never forgetting that you are a work in progress (perfection is not obtainable).
in tool’s song sober.. the last few lines go “I want what I want…” now the question is.. how to figure out what I want.. 😦
